Model 3590 Digital Electronic Calibrator

Epsilon’s calibrator features 50 microinches (0.001 mm) resolution and has full 2 inches (50 mm) of measuring range.The autozero button and digital display greatly simplify calibration of extensometers. It is also available in an ultra-high resolution version.

With Epsilon's in-house laser interferometer system, the full high resolution calibrator systems can be verified to ASTM E83 and ISO 9513 specifications traceable to NPL. No longer do customer's have to rely on micrometer head only calibrations. With Epsilon high resolution systems, you are assured compliance. When looking for a calibrator to meet ASTM and ISO specifications, note that the accuracy of the device is key for compliance, which is why full system calibration is essential. When it comes time to calibrate your extensometers, these calibrators are easier to use and faster than any others on the market. They have enough measuring range to calibrate nearly all extensometers, and enough resolution to calibrate units with low measuring ranges.

The digital display reads inches and changes to mm at the touch of a button. The autozero button is a great help in calibrating. Just press the button to start readings from zero. The digital display reduces operator error.

A wide range of adapters are available. The calibrator comes with smooth round adapters, of .375 inches diameter (9.52 mm). For special adapters, contact Epsilon. For very long gage length extensometers, an optional extension post is available. An option is available for digital SPC output for interfacing with PCs. The calibrator has calibration traceable to NIST, as required for meeting most standards such as ASTM.

3590VHR (High Resolution) Features:

Scale resolution: 20 nm (0.8 microinches);
Scale Accuracy:
- ±0.26 microns (±10 microinches) over any 0.3 mm (0.012 inch) range
- ±1.0 microns (±40 microinches) over any 6.25 mm (0.25 inch range)
- Meets ASTM E83 B-1 for a 6 mm gage length and greater extensometer and ISO 9513 Class 0,5 over the full measuring range of the calibrator.
Scale calibration traceable to NIST;
50 mm (2 inches) measuring range;
Ethernet port, Netbook provided;
Uses the same adapters as the model 3590 and 3590HR calibrators;
Provided with a foam lined case for storage.

3590HR (High Resolution) Features:

5 microinches (0.0001 mm) resolution.
±0.000015 in (±0.0004 mm) accuracy.
Full 1 inch (25 mm) measuring range.
Digital display.
Autozero button simplifies readings.

3590AT (Axial/Torsional) Features:
